Hiring Freezes

It seems like most b2b companies have hiring freezes on right now. Are there any companies out there hiring?

You may want to look at some of the smaller business software companies. I know someone who owns a pos software company and he said they are still experiencing growth even in this environment.

Apparently there are a lot of small companies that haven't computerized inventory yet and it still makes sense for them to spend the money to do so even in this economy.

Your friends company isn't hiring are they?

I'll check with him and see. I think his sales people are kind of b2b2b. They act as reps to dealers who then sale to business end users.

I talked to him and he said they just hired another rep in the last two weeks and that at the moment they don't have any openings. He did confirm that they are still growing though he is concerned that this won't continue in the face of the current economy.

That doesn't mean, he said, that they wont continue to expand. However, they are becoming more cautious about hiring and future planned spending.
