Agreed. Energy drink market is over saturated. Who would of thought people don't want a 500 calorie drink from a metal can that is filled with sugar and caffiene?

Try bringing back Pepsi clear while you're at it.

Pepsi DOES suck and anyone that thinks differently is drinking the Kool-Aid. Anyone that had any talent at all has all left and gone to other places where they can make a lot more money without having to deal with incompetent managers who have no clue. Way to go Pepsi! Nice retarded logos, too. Didn't you read what happened with New Coke? Dumbasses.

Pepsi likes to hire unemployed people full-time so they can screw you with really low pay and get you at a bargain. Even if you prove yourself Pepsi still will screw you over.

If you should decide to stay there you will be fed a lot of corporate malarky and management will do otherwise (e.g., promote from within, best company to work for: women, african-american, latinos, asians, gays, etc.).

The company is so large that there is so much beauacracy (sp?) and incompetence (e.g., marketing).

I work at pepsi and they bring sucking to a whole new level. middle managers with no balls or intelligence they just follow the company BS rules. They give us little crappy trinkets that are dollar store rejects and pepsi clothes for us to wear. The crap I throw out and the clothes I cover up or remove the pepsi name I am not a bill board for a company that treats its employees so poorly. And I drink COKE (even at work) Blow me pepsi MF.

Pepsico Sucks there One Up SAP project is BS getting ripped off by Accenture consultants who do nothing except showboat there dumb egos- and put together 30-50 page powerpoints that are meaningless, then assign the work to the low paid employees who do nt know anything either. What a waste of money - the directors don't know shit- middle managers kiss ass to crazy woman director over applications and supply chain knows nothing except how to throw a whip - she is nuts last minute work due the next morning if you don't deliver she will fire you - then micromanages everything middle managers who hire consultants to do there job cause they don't know anything you have to work 80 hours a week and holidays nutso everyone is stabbing everyone in the back to save there ass.

I also work at Pepsi, in IL. Trust me when i tell you their management is completely incompetent. And I can also say without a shred of doubt in my mind, that their energy portfolio is a joke. My stores sell more of the competition's product at full price even when Pepsi's are on sale. And all their new LTO's sit on the shelves (or the warehouse) until expired. If you honestly think otherwise, you need to quit drinking the kool-aid. Working for this company has been a terrible experience. Their pay is not actually competitive at most locations and their benefits are not great either. (However, I don't think Coke in this area is any better and has much higher turnover...which speaks for itself, unfortunately. If not for their turnover, I'd go there in a heartbeat, as their managers have offered me jobs on the spot as I've been on my route)

Pepsi try's to promote itself as a great place to work. Don't be fooled! This company is going down the drain. It truly has its head up its own ass. They have gotten rid of over 100 hard working people in one facility, bumped up the few people left a few cents and on top of that they deminished benefits. Now they expect the last remaining slaves to do the work of 3 or 4 people. C'mon be a, "Team Player" you just got twenty more cents! Even though you are way below national average's where pay is concerned! On top of that you're so called insurance has gone up under their new plan. So much for that .20 cent raise! They would rather bring in more do nothing, snot nosed, dept. or plant managers that really could care less about the well being of the folks doing the real work! People are treated like crap and lied to this is the TRUE BLUE PEPSI that I know!! All this company care's about is their bottom dollar, which I do understand, but don't lie and treat you're employee's helping make that bottom dollar like total shit! Karma can be a bitch Pepsi!

Totally agree. Annual layoffs create positions that are posted on the job boards so it looks like they are hiring. The people hired as back fills are unemployed or new grads and exploited (low pay and fake promises of career growth a la promote from within). Unless you're an ivy league MBA or friend of a corporate executive you're stuck. The majority (about 95%) of current employees do not have career growth as many managers are handcuffed to artificially give you poor performance reviews and therefore torpedo your career aspirations. No hiring manager is going to look to move an internal candidate with a poor performance review even though their manager had told them to do what they did for the year! Following what your manager says to do will only guarantee a poor performance review since they want you to spin your wheels!

That being said the balance of 50/50 business and people results is false. Many would rather you do more like 90/10 chiding you if you take time out of working on business related for people results if not a people manager.

Too many external accolades are PR ploys as many women are still not promoted nor are the diversity candidates.

P.S. The snacks business (Frito-Lay) is keeping the beverage businesses (carbonated, non-carbonated, energy) buoyant.

I know for a fact working at pepsi sucks...I'm a former employee! They only want the, "Ass kissing brown-nosers that are very good at blowing smoke up the appropriate ass-holes." So long Pepsi it certainly has sucked working with ya! It really is no wonder Coke out sales pepsi. I will go have my Crown and Coke now.
