So, I started here today and I am already having my doubts. Training sucks and I already have B2B experience so its nothing new. Seems like a tough job where you bust your ass for very average pay. Luckily I have another offer that is still pending and I have until Friday of this week to make my final decision. I am really thinking I made a mistake by picking Unifirst. Anyone who works here, a little insight may help....

Run..Take the other job. The comp will eat you alive. We are not nearly as agressive with pricing as we should be.

You are doing the right thing to keep your options open. If the other job is better take it and don't look back. This company would have no problem doing the same thing.

The other thing bothering me is that our sales board is weak. There are two guys that have been there for like four years with only like $150 worth of rental revenue on the board since the fiscal year began on October 1. WTF is that! The top guy has been there for a year and only has $550 worth of revenue rentals posted.... Thats f*cking weak too. Even if they got the highest tier of 4 to 1 payout, that ain't SH*T! What you guys think, should I jump on my other offer? Seems like I'm seeing red flags all over the place....

I'm having trouble deciding if the other option is better, that's the problem. Its a commission only job and the training pay (which is mandatory for the first month) is measly. The good side of the other job offer I have is that you get leads daily and I've seen the sales board there for the territory I would be taking over and the guy did $20,000 and some change last month at a payout of 17%, plus you get a company car and gas. Not to mention its like literally the worst time of year for sales for our area for that companies industry, so I am pretty sure $20,000 is a weak month for that territory (that is what the sales manager tells me too). Man, I feel like I have a REALLY tough decision here. Does it really suck at Unifirst?

RUN!!! There is no question! I was there for 4 months and found there were 18 sales reps through there in 2 years...no exaggeration. Prices cannot be competitve with Cintas so there is a very small market for overpriced uniforms that no one really wants. If you do manage to convince someone they need uniforms, the price will put you out of running. I quickly found that this was not the place to be and never looked back.

Unifirst is a weak company. Tough to make a living when all you do is sell on price. you think you are expensive? In the NW market you are the cheapest on every bid by atleast 30%! My advice is to stay away from all laundry companies! they are all structured the same! what can you sell for me this week?
atleast got to cintas... best in the industry, looks the best on a resume, and i have not made under 100k since starting here 2 years ago!

I was a uniworst customer they are the worst company i have had to deal with in 15yrs of business. I would hate to be a employee at this company if they lie to you as much as they do customers.
